Leather look

A new season brings endless inspiration and this season I am inspired by the love of all things leather! It’s sleek, sharp and I love the option of styling it in so many different ways.

Here are just a few of my favourite pieces in store. I will show a couple of different looks and how mixing layers and prints can transform a look. The most common question we get asked is ‘how to wear pieces casually’, so I will try and show you just couple of options. But honestly the options are endless.

Our leatherette A-line skirt takes a lady like look here with our silk blouse. A lot of the fashion mags have given reference to the Lady Di look this season. This look lends a feel to the stylish lady herself. I love the collar detail and print on this little number from Spanish label Wild Pony.  I will also wear this all season with leather pants and black skinnies.

Day time cozy or casual cool.

Transform the look to daytime coziness with a knit. I love this tobacco colour for Autumn and again it is a great one to work into your autumn wardrobe with jeans and boots or over a dress. A statement knit for Autumn is always a winner! These tan boots with block heel are also a great buy to bring you from day to night as they have a super comfy block heel.

This leather shirt is the sooo luxurious and feels so soft and warm against the skin. It is Such a versatile piece which can be worn open as a jacket style or closed as a shirt style. I have kept it very simple for a daytime look with a white tee and Woden snakeskin print runners. And these are my absolute favourite jeans at the moment from Italian label H20.

Dressed up a notch with these leatherette culottes (which I can honestly say I have worn with so many different tops/shirts/knits). For some leather on leather may be too much but I am loving it. There has been a growing trend for minimalism and for me the simplicity of black and white is effortless and crisp.

Another great look is to mix up pattern and texture. I am in love with this baby blue cable knit jumper from Scandinavian label Rue de Femme. A lover of all things Scandi, I just adore their style, quality, timeless appeal. I have added my blue studded boots which may be a little matchy, matchy for some, but I like it while the weather is still somewhat nice. They are also available in camel which is always a great option that works well with most colours.

Lastly I will leave you with simplicity. An absolute must have in any wardrobe is the LBB! I am not generally one for fitted clothes but there is a great stretch in this fabric and I love the leather look panel down the side which just adds a bit of interest to what is a plain dress.

Hope I have sold you into just trying some leather looks! You won’t be sorry I promise 😉
